Garth (Gwent Arts in Health) Seasonal Staff Choir launches Thursday 6th October 2011
“A new skill to learn that’s fun and positive that makes you feel good!” Lynn
“Exhilarating; de-stressor and worth doing for self confidence.” Adrienne
“An easy-going, relaxing, enjoyable after-work activity. A chance to learn to sing with people in a no-pressure environment.” Linda
Looking for a new activity for 2011? The GARTH staff choir will be singing again in the St Woolos Hospital Chapel on Thursdays 5.15 - 7 pm beginning on 6th October. The sessions are open to all ABHB staff, and are designed to be an easy-going experience where staff can relax and enjoy singing together. Singing has proven benefits of reducing stress, improving breathing and flexibility and building confidence. No previous experience is needed – no need to read music! The sessions are led by Sarah Harman, featuring traditional and contemporary seasonal songs. If you’d like to have a go, then come to the taster session on 6th October. For more information, please contact Sarah Goodey on 23 4517 / 07976 375781 or at sarah.goodey@wales.nhs.uk.
