Artists in residence will focus their work on regular opportunities to engage with families within the waiting spaces over a period of 6–8 months (dates and details to be agreed). Regular engagement may result in artistic outputs that remain in the spaces. Artists will be required to create their own response to the work, sharing key themes and observations from their residency.
We would like to establish a broad range of Artists in residence in a number of waiting spaces visited by young people (13–17 years), and their families and carers during their treatment with ABUHB.
We want to use creativity to enhance these spaces; finding playful ways to explore Young People’s Voices, their experiences and their stories. Our Youth Participation Panel have expressed that they would like to see young people reflected in these spaces, connecting with and encouraging each other.
Artists will be required to engage with families, and to explore creativity as a means of improving both the waiting spaces and waiting process.
Application deadline: 12pm, Friday 21st February 2025
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview in person and in situ on Monday 3rd March 2025
