Words for Mental Health Day 2019

Gwent Arts in Health and the Royal College of Psychiatrists present an evening hosted by poet and writer Patrick Jones on the occasion of World Mental Health Day 2019. 

We invite you to a poetry reading and community gathering bringing service users, people interested and affected by mental health and staff together to share stories and make links in a friendly informal atmosphere. 

Patrick – artist in residence at the Royal College of Psychiatrists - will be joined by writers and performers Clare Potter and Rufus Mufasa who will share their work and welcome poets from the floor in an open mic.

 

Free entry – a collection will be taken for local charities

clare e. potter is a writer and performer from a South Wales mining village. She lived for ten years in the Deep South where she studied an MA in Afro-Caribbean literature and taught in a progressive school in New Orleans.
