WHY?
Through our Families Get Creative Pop-Up events, we would like to engage a broad range of artists to deliver creativeengagement workshops in community / arts venues. Young people (13–17 years), receiving mental health support from ABUHB, along with family members / carers, will be invited to join creative workshops designed to explore their stories and capture their voices to inform service innovation. We want to use creativity as a playful means of engaging with - and learning from - our families, while offering additional mechanisms and connections to help navigate mental health challenges together as a family.
HOW?
Artists will be required to provide pop-up creative engagement / workshop activity, for invited families, for up to 2 hours per session. Workshops will be responsive and flexible, providing suitable ways for families to access together or as individuals. Artists will be required to share key learning / themes emerging from the work.
WHERE?
1 event will take place in each area of the ABUHB region: Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen.
WHEN?
February - March 2025: Application & artist engagement process
